Mashed Strawberries

When you have brushed your teeth then take a pinch of bicarbonate soda and rub it on your teeth to reduce the acidity and protect the teeth from any damage.

Coconut Oil Pulling

Oil pulling is one of the oldest techniques that was used to whiten the teeth at home. It is also quite easy. Take some coconut oil in your mouth and swish it around the mouth like a mouthwash. It can also be done with sesame oil. Oil pulling not only whitens the teeth but it also reduces the plaque formation and reduce the chances of gum disease.

Baking Soda and Lemon Juice

Lemons are high in citric acid which makes them a perfect bleech for your teeth. Though the high acidic content in it might be an issue but if you mix the lemon juice with baking soda to make a paste then it would be more effective and a safer way to remove the yellowness from the teeth. Baking soda is mildly abrasive and is also alkaline. This helps in neutralizing the acidity of the lemon juice.

Orange Peel

Take the outer cover of the orange and rub the white portion on the inside. It is not only safe but also the quickest way of teeth whitening using household products. The white part of the peel has limonene which contains natural solvent cleaners. Orange is a rich source of Vitamin C that means it also has high acidic content. But the peel of the fruit is not acidic and is safe to be rubbed against the tooth without causing any damage.

Basil leaves and Mustard Oil

Basil leaves can be found easily at home. Crush the basil leaves and form a mild powder mixed with mustard oil to removes the stains quickly from teeth and get shiny white teeth at home. Instead of making a powder you can crush the basil leaves to make a paste and apply the paste on the brush an directly brush your teeth with the paste. Basil protects the gum and the mustard oil has antibacterial, anti inflammatory properties and both of them are great fro the over all health of the mouth.

Sea Salt and Baking Soda

Baking soda is something that every one recommends you to apply for better oral health. It is widely acknowledged as a remedy for teeth whitening. It is mildly abrasive and very gently cleans the teeth. When sea salt is added to the baking soda, the paste is anti bacteria and can be used as a scrub. The paste counteracts with the acid n the mouth and eliminates the chances of bacteria attack.

Nowadays it is very easy to find charcoal toothpaste in the market. Charcoal is another effective natural remedy for whitening the tooth. Activated charcoal absorbs tannins which is the compound present in coffee, tea and wine and leaves the stain on the teeth. Dip the toothbrush in activated charcoal powder and brush it across the tooth.
